Mexican Pulled Pork Pizza is a fun new exciting way to enjoy everything you love about carnitas and pizza in the same bite! We love adding pineapple, red onions, bacon, ranch seasoning, and fresh herbs!

A great way to use leftover pulled pork!

Ever since visiting Mexico last year my family has been crazy about all things Mexican food! We just can’t help ourselves.

Pulled Pork Pizza combines so many of the yummy flavors we fell in love with, in a fun new way.

Of course, we love this pizza because it’s so yummy but it’s also one of those quick and easy meals I can pull together in no time at all! We all need a few of those ideas up our sleeve!

Ingredients in Pulled Pork Pizza

The ingredients to make this are pretty simple! We love using leftovers in a new way and this pizza is a great home for leftover carnitas, Mexican Pulled Pork, or smoked pulled pork!

Check out our favorite ways to make this either a Mexican style pizza or a BBQ Pulled Pork Pizza! Either way, it’s easy and divine!

PIZZA CRUST: Homemade Pizza Crust, flatbread, French bread, or even tortillas are all great options!

MEAT: I love making homemade carnitas and this is a great way to use leftovers. You can also buy a Smithfield Marinated Boneless Pork Shoulder Seasoned Carnitas! We also love making this pizza using leftover BBQ pulled pork.

PIZZA SAUCE: Enchilada Sauce for a Mexican pizza, or BBQ sauce for pulled pork

CHEESE: Shredded mozzarella is the way to go because it melts so wonderfully! Check out my tips on freezing cheese so you’ll have it on hand all the time!

VEGETABLES: Purple onions, mushrooms, peppers, olives, etc.

PINEAPPLE: Add fresh or canned chunks or tidbits. Crushed pineapple makes the crust soggy.

HERBS: Cilantro is great with Mexican pizza! Basil is always a good option.

SEASONINGS: Try adding ranch to mimic that classic Chicken Bacon Ranch flavor!

How to make pizza at home

This pizza is so easy to make at home, especially if you use a store-bought crust and have leftover shredded meat!

STEP 1: Move the oven rack to the center position. Preheat oven to 450 degrees. You can also bake this pizza in the smoker. I love making Pizza on my Traeger!

STEP 2: Spread sauce over the crust. Leave about a half inch border.

STEP 3: Sprinkle grated cheese over sauce. Use plenty of cheese!

Sprinkle ranch seasoning on for extra flavor!

STEP 4: Add shredded pork.

STEP 5: Throw on whatever other toppings you like! This is where you get to customize your own pizza!

Kids love this quick and easy meal!

STEP 6: Bake for 10 minutes if the crust you are using is already cooked. For homemade crust increase baking time to 20-25 minutes.

STEP 7: Cut into slices and serve!

Seriously though, this BBQ Pulled Pork Pizza is all the rage at my house! Most of the time I smoke so much pork at once I end up making carnitas with part of it and freezing the rest of it for later.

This carnitas pizza is a great way to use it up regardless of which kind of shredded pork I have on hand!

We do a pizza night every weekend during football season, and this Carnitas Pizza definitely needs a spot on our list. It sounds amazing! And I love that you can use all of the leftover pork to create other easy meals, too. Save me a slice! #client
