A light and fluffy waffle with crispy Fruity Pebbles are a winner at my house! These waffles make the kid in everyone happy in the morning! We love them topped with strawberry syrup, fresh fruit or Greek yogurt!

Fruity Pebble Waffles with Greek Yogurt!! - Little Dairy on the Prairie

Does anyone else cringe at the thought of making breakfast? Breakfast happens to be one of my favorite meals of the day.  I do have a few logistical problems with breakfast. First of all, I need as much beauty rest as I can get. That means breakfast has to be fast or it has to be brunch! The second problem with breakfast is that I really don’t like my house, or my hair, to smell like sausage for the rest of the day. Although many times it is worth it!  Lastly, one of my children only likes cold cereal and oatmeal for breakfast. Sometimes I just don’t want to fight him about eating dreaded SYRUP!

Fruity Pebbles Waffles! Love these with strawberry syrup! - Little Dairy on the Prairie

I figured if my six year old will eat Fruity Pebbles by the bowlful, he would surely eat Fruity Pebble Waffles. At first he did what most six year old’s do. Yup, he played in his waffle for about ten minutes before he would even try a bite. (That never happens at your house, right?) Once he learned that he wasn’t going to get to go to work with his Dad until his waffle was gone he took the first dreaded bite. Amazingly enough he loved these Fruity Pebble studded waffles. The little fella even wanted more! Sweet success!

Some people in the family topped these waffles with butter and strawberry syrup. They would be divine with fresh strawberries and whipped cream too.

Fruity Pebble Waffles!!!

My picky little waffle eater ate his with vanilla Greek yogurt and additional Fruity Pebbles sprinkled on top! In fact my boys like Fruity Pebbles so much that one of them had to grab a handful during my photo taking session! I like cute little hands and it became my favorite picture! Did you notice the little hands? They are in the top picture of this post!

Fruity Pebbles Waffles! The kid in everyone will go crazy for these! - Little Dairy on the Prairie

This was a fun switch up for breakfast that was perfect for our “No School” day brunch. Besides, my hair didn’t smell like bacon afterwards!

I did catch the little hand in the jar of pebbles, him is so chubby. I thought everybody loved homemade waffles with lots of different syrups and toppings to try on top. Sounds like you made a believer out of your littlest thing. And I am sure his Dad was glad he ate his waffle so he could come out and help him.

Thank you! I keep telling people I don’t cook certain things because I don’t want my hair to smell like food, but they don’t believe me! I have started wearing a beanie when I cook until the smell of the food is mostly gone. These are the most delicious looking waffles! Mmm

That is so funny!I should totally start wearing a beanie along with my swim goggles that I use when I cut onions! We must both have really good noses! I haven’t decided if it’s a blessing or a curse!

My almost 6 year old is awful to get to eat breakfast too. He will eat Eggo (no generic brand) waffles, or sometimes oatmeal. Sometimes he refuses to eat and goes to school without breakfast. Good thing they eat at 10:40! I’m positive both of my boys would love these waffles though! Every kid loves Fruity Pebbles! I’d love it if you would link this yummy recipe up to the Thursday S.T.Y.L.E. Link Party. It just went live tonight! http://addicted2diy.com/2014/02/27/thursday-s-t-y-l-e-link-party-9/

I don’t know why I can’t talk my 6 year old into eating and I can’t talk myself out of eating! If I can trick him into eating breakfast with Fruity Pebbles that’s what I’m going to do! Good luck!

i am 56 years old and my favorite doughnut is the pink frosting Fruity Pebble sprinkled one from the little shop down the street, so I am 100% certain I will LOVE this waffle too! Maybe paired with a fruity type of syrup, like blueberry or warmed thinned jam. Thanks again for a great breakfast idea!
