Dill Pickle Rollups are so easy to make! You’ll need tortillas, pickle relish, cheese, a few spices, and cream cheese. Add ham, bacon, or dried beef to make them extra yummy! These pickle wraps are perfect for packing in lunches or a great party appetizer!
Raise your hand if you are a dill pickle lover? Me too! My sister and I used to can dill pickles every summer and then we would munch on them all year long. Well, it’s probably more accurate to say we devoured them daily!
As soon as my kids got old enough to eat pickles without choking I just HAD to introduce pickles to them! I mean really…watching the looks on their cute little faces when they take their first bite is priceless! Don’t judge me, it’s good clean, cheap entertainment! And I bet you’ve done it before too!
Dill pickles seem to be a craze right now. I mean there are recipes for dill pickle soup, dill pickle bread, and I even saw dill pickle toothpaste. Now that’s taking it too far! I wouldn’t even give my kids dill pickle toothpaste. That’s not even worth the sour look on their faces!
Dill Pickle Rollups though… these little appetizers happen to be the perfect party food for the dill pickle lover in all of us! They are incredibly easy to make, we’re talking just a few minutes from start to finish.
They are even better after they’ve been in the fridge for a while. This means I can make them ahead of time which is a lifesaver sometimes!
My kids are too big for the sour face entertainment now so we have to have real parties! Parties with yummy food (Hello Cheesy Bacon and Broccoli Dip, Jalapeno Popper Rollups, Slow Cooker Little Smokies, and S’mores Trail Mix). That’s right we’ve been entertaining ourselves with food for a long time around here!
How to make pickle roll ups
Do me a favor and add Dill Pickle Rollups to your party spread for the holidays. Heck, I think you will like them so much you’ll probably still be making them for Easter and the Fourth of July, and probably lots of other normal days too!

Dill Pickle Rollups {Make Ahead Appertizer}
Ingredients
- 6 Flour Tortillas I used the 8 inch tortillas. Bigger or smaller tortillas can be used resulting in more or less rollups.
- 1 8 oz. package cream cheese room temperature
- 1 c. dill pickle relish
- ½ tsp garlic paste or finely minced garlic
- 1 ½ c. grated cheese cheddar or pepper jack
- Dried Dill Weed for garnish optional
Instructions
- Add cream cheese, pickle relish, garlic, and cheese to a mixing bowl. Mix together until combined.
- MIcrowave tortillas for a few seconds. It softens them and makes them a little more pliable and easier to work with.
- Lay tortillas out.
- Divide cream cheese mixture among tortillas. Spread to the edges of tortillas.
- Roll tortillas up jelly roll style.
- Wrap Dill Pickle Rollups in plastic wrap. Store in refrigerator for at least 2 hours.
- Remove from fridge and slice into about 1 inch slices. If desired you can sprinkle cut edges with dill weed.
- Store leftovers in refrigerator.
I am always looking for a new and fun appetizer to take to parties… this is a winner!

They are always a hit whenever I take them to parties! So yummy!
I almost spit out my coffee — good clean entertainment!!! Love it!
Lol! Doesn’t watching little kids make funny faces qualify as good clean, cheap entertainment? I think I’m easily entertained!
With dill pickle relish? Love that idea! My kids would be all over these.
You could always chop dill pickles up and get basically the same thing…but if I can buy them already shopped why not? So yummy!
My kids are mad for dill pickles and wraps – I so have to make this for their school packed lunches! Great idea!
I just packed these in my kids school lunches today! Such a nice change of pace from old sandwiches!
Yum! Definitely perfect for dill pickle fans. I love how easily they come together and that they can be made ahead of time. Such a great idea for holiday entertaining.
Anything quick and easy is always a win in my book! Especially if they this yummy!
I used to hate pickles, but as I got pregnant with my first son I started craving them and I haven’t stopped since. My son is now 18. What is it with Pickle? I need to make those now
Haha! Glad you finally joined the rest of us pickle lovers! These are every bit as addiciting as eating plain pickles!
I love anything pickle. I will have to give these a try.
Pickles are the best! This is a great way to eat even more of them!

My kind of appetizer for Christmas dinner!

Ohhhh…. love the dill pickle in this! Pinwheels are so much fun for my girls!
These sound so delicious! I think my family would love these for sure – they usually go nuts for any type of wrap or roll style appetizer. Can’t wait to make these at home. Need to find a way to get rid of these dill pickles I have in the fridge! Thank you for sharing!
Sounds like these will be just the thing for your family! Those big jars of dill pickles can get a little much! This will be a fun new way to use them up!
Hi Amy…I just saw your post on Pinterest. It states that it is Gluten Free. This statement is not true (flour tortillas are not Gluten Free) and should be removed.
Hmmm! Maybe Pinterest labeled it as gluten free. I don’t remember ever saying these are gluten free. I’ll have to check into it. Thanks for letting me know!
I love e doll pickles and doll pickle relish so I’m gonna have to try this recipe. I’ll let you know how my family likes them.
I’ve made these twice now and they have been devoured both times! They are DELICIOUS! I discovered Deli Dill relish by Mt Olive (bigger chunks, more dill and not as salty) and did a taste test by making 1/2 with regular dill relish and the other 1/2 with the Deli Dill and took them to work…the Deli relish was the winner, although all of them were eaten. Really fantastic recipe. I may try adding thinly sliced salami next time.. Yummo!
Yay! Anything dill pickle is a winner at my house! I’m going to look for that brand of Deli Relish! Sounds yummy! Adding meat is always a good idea! Let me know how it goes!
You use a store brand of dill pickle relish or home made?
I always use a store brand of dill pickle relish! Good luck!
How far in advance would you say you could make these without them going bad? I need to make an app 4 days before serving but am afraid of the tortillas getting too soggy. Can these be frozen? Or same problem?
Hi Emily! I’m afraid four days might be a little bit early. I’m guessing two days is about all the earlier you’re going to want to make them. I wouldn’t recommend freezing them either because it will alter the texture of the cream cheese. They are so delicious, I hope you can squeeze them into your schedule!
Could I usecwhipped cream cheese.
Would whipped cream cheese work..?
Hi Bonnie! I’ve never tried whipped cream cheese in this cheeseball before. I’m guessing it would work just fine. It will likely be a little softer than regular cream cheese, but that wouldn’t hurt anything either! Let me know how it turns out!
If you minced up a few slices of deli ham and mixed that in too, it’d be like the pickle spears wrapped in cream cheese and ham but easier to eat. Might be worth a try.
Great idea! I bet that would be a scrumptious addition! I need to try that ASAP!
Going to try some of your recipes today. They sound delicious!
I love the name of your farm.
I’m a huge fan of Little House on the Prairie.
Good thinking!
I can’t wait for you to try some of my recipes today! My siblings and I used to watch Little House on the Prairie all the time and now my kids watch it! It’s such a great show!
My kids flocked to these and devoured them! Super yummy and fun.
Every kid loves grilled cheese sandwiches! Pickles are like icing on the cake!
Can garlic powder be subbed for garlic paste? If so how much would be recommended? Thanks!
Since garlic powder is so much more concentrated you’ll only need a little bit. It’s actually 1/16th of a teaspoon, so I’d just add a dash! I can’t wait for you to try it!
