Virgin Strawberry Sangria with Whipped Cream

The whole family will enjoy sipping on make ahead Virgin Strawberry Sangria’s all summer long! Adding whipped cream to the top takes the fruitiness to a whole new level of decadence!

Ingredients

  • 25.4 ounces sparkling apple cider chilled
  • 2 cups strawberries divided
  • 2 Tablespoons sugar
  • ¼ cup water

Optional Garnishes

  • Whipped cream either in an aerosol can, or freshly whipped heavy cream
  • Fresh mint sprig optional

Instructions

  • Heat one cup sliced strawberries, sugar, and water to a boil. Puree strawberries and syrup. Cool.
  • Pour chilled sparkling cider into a glass pitcher. Add the strawberry puree. Slice remaining strawberries and add.
  • Let chill for at least two hours or serve immediately.
  • Serve with a generous amount of whipped cream.
  • Garnish with additional strawberry slice or mint sprig if desired

Notes

Sparkling Cider: You can substitute the following for sparkling cider.
  • Lemon-lime soda
  • Ginger ale
  • Sparkling water (healthy option)
