Ingredients

  • 8 ounce cream cheese room temperature
  • 1 cup salsa homemade or favorite store brand
  • Cilantro for garnish optional

Instructions

  • Add room temperature cream cheese and salsa to a food processor.
  • Pulse until the salsa is combined and the cream cheese is smooth. You decide how pureed you want the salsa to be. Pulse more for creamier salsa and less for chunkier salsa.
  • You can serve cream cheese salsa immediately, but the flavors get better if it sits for at least 30 minutes. The salsa will get thicker as it sits in the refrigerator.
  • Garnish with chopped cilantro if desired.

Notes

Cream Cheese:
  • Be sure it's room temperature or it will be lumpy.
  • Use full-fat cream cheese. Reduced fat has extra water and it will make the salsa runny.
Storage: Store leftover cream cheese salsa dip in the refrigerator for up to 4 days. I don't recommend freezing this dip.
