Virgin Strawberry Sangria with Whipped Cream
The whole family will enjoy sipping on make ahead Virgin Strawberry Sangria’s all summer long! Adding whipped cream to the top takes the fruitiness to a whole new level of decadence!
- 1 25.4 oz. bottle sparkling apple cider chilled
- 2 c. fresh sliced strawberries divided
- 2 T. sugar
- ¼ c. water
- Whipped cream either in an aerosol can, or freshly whipped heavy cream
- Fresh mint sprig optional
Heat one cup sliced strawberries, sugar, and water to a boil. Puree strawberries and syrup. Cool.
Pour chilled sparkling cider into a glass pitcher. Add strawberry puree and fresh sliced strawberries.
Let chill for a few hours or serve immediately.
Serve with a generous amount of whipped cream.
Garnish with additional strawberry slice or mint sprig if desired
