Hawaiian Hamburgers

Sweet pineapple, savory hamburger, salty ham and melted cheese collide to create the perfect Hawaiian Burger. Top it all of with creamy chipotle BBQ sauce.

  • Hamburger Patties:
  • 1 pound hamburger
  • salt
  • pepper
  • 2 Tbsp. BBQ Sauce
  • 1 Tbsp. Worcestershire Sauce
  • 1 tsp. Brown Sugar
  • 1 garlic clove minced
  • Hamburger Toppings:
  • 4 slices deli ham
  • 4 slices Swiss cheese
  • Pineapple sliced thin
  • lettuce
  • 4 hamburger buns
  • Chipotle BBQ Sauce:
  • 1/2 cup prepared barbeque sauce
  • 1/2 cup mayonnaise
  • 1/2 tsp. smoked chipotle seasoning
  • 1/2 tsp. chili powder


  • Chipotle BBQ Sauce:
  • Mix all sauce ingredients. Refrigerate at least 2 hours.
  • Hamburger Patties:
  • Mix ground beef, salt and pepper, Worcestershire Sauce, brown sugar and BBQ sauce together. Shape into patties.
  • Grill hamburger patties. I grill them for about 8 minutes per side. When patties are almost done, layer cheese on top.
  • Grill deli ham for about a minute. Flip and grill one more minute.
  • Butter insides of buns and grill inside down for a minute.
  • Assemble burger by putting a cheeseburger on each bun. Top with sliced pineapple, deli ham, lettuce and sauce.
