Cinnamon Banana Bars

Ingredients

  • BARS:
  • 3 ripe bananas
  • 1/2 c. butter softened
  • 1 c. sugar
  • 1/2 c. brown sugar
  • 2 eggs
  • 1 c. vanilla Greek yogurt
  • 1 tsp. vanilla
  • 2 c. flour
  • 1 tsp. salt
  • 1 tsp. baking soda
  • 1 tsp. cinnamon
  • CINNAMON CREAM CHEESE FROSTING:
  • 1/4 c. butter softened
  • 1 8 oz. pkg. cream cheese room temperature
  • 1 tsp. vanilla
  • 1 tsp. cinnamon
  • dash salt
  • 1 pound powdered sugar more if needed

Instructions

  • BARS:
  • Preheat oven to 350 degrees.
  • Beat bananas, butter and sugars together until smooth.
  • Add eggs one at a time.
  • Fold in vanilla and yogurt.
  • Mix in flour, salt, cinnamon and soda.
  • Spread in greased 10 x 15 pan. Bake for 20-22 minutes or until bars are set.
  • Cool. Frost with cinnamon cream cheese frosting.
  • FROSTING:
  • Cream butter and cream cheese together until smooth.
  • Add vanilla, cinnamon, powdered sugar and dash of salt. Beat until smooth.
  • If consistency is too thick add milk a little bit at a time. If consistency is too thin add more powdered sugar.
