It’s the big boss’s birthday tomorrow!! There are so many things about him that I love! And my boys absolutely admire him!
My boys have always loved going to work with their Dad. From a very little age they would beg to go with him. It’s a good thing he’s so good to take them. Because if he didn’t they would lay next to the back door and cry. In fact, my brothers used to tease him about having to strap a baby backpack on, pack the diaper bag and head off to work. He didn’t really do that, but he did take them when they were pretty little!!
The Big Boss is, well, the Big Boss. I’m not quite sure how he manages to keep everything in his brain straight all the time. He manages employees, manages the dairy, manages the farming and manages the boys. He orders all of the feed, medicine and other supplies. He works with the vetrinarian, the accountant, the banker and the bookkeeper (that’s me). And all of this being the Big Boss means he is ALWAYS on his phone. For kicks and giggles I just checked to see how many minutes he actually talks on his phone in a month. Last month he talked 3,409 minutes. And it’s all business. Like I said, how does he keep all of this straight?
A few years ago the Big Boss decided he had had enough. He came in the house and booked a cruise within a few hours. We left two days later! It was so spontaneous and fun. The best part was that there was no cell service on that boat!
I talked him into buying some flip flops for the trip. (We squeezed a little late night shopping trip in the day before we left. That’s how we roll.) He has NO experience walking in flip flops and could barely make it down the hall without throwing a shoe. We went to a show on the boat one night. He
wore attempted to wear, flip flops to the show. Of course, they pulled him out of the audience and asked him to come dance on the stage. I died laughing. He could barely even walk to the stage let alone dance. It kinda looked like his feet were nailed to the floor. It was so funny!!
