Pimento Cheese Spread is crazy good, super addicting, and a quick and easy appetizer! It’s a must have at Super Bowl Parties, as well as Christmas and New Years! It’s a serious winner!

I got this recipe from my sister in law. She gives it out as neighborhood gifts for Christmas. I started making it and we aren't so generous with it, we eat the whole thing ourselves!

The first time my sister-in-law shared this cheese spread with us, we fell in love! I loved it and the ol’ hubby REALLY loved it. He loves it so much that he looses all self control when I make it. In my attempt to make sure I get my share, I whip up a batch while he’s gone. Then I store it in an empty Greek yogurt or Cool Whip container. Please tell me I’m not the only one who saves millions of those things. I save each one with good intentions of sharing my scrumptious casseroles and such with my elderly neighbors. I have good intentions that don’t materialize, and I have about two boxes full of empty cottage cheese containers! It’s the thought that counts…right?

Pimento Cheese Dip!!!
Anyway, back to the cheese spread. I make it and put it in an old container because my hubby won’t ever look in there. This is how I make sure I get my fair share of the divine and highly coveted cheese spread! Yes, I’m greedy like that…and he loves it that much and can’t contain himself when he knows it’s in the fridge!

Pimento Cheese Dip is a such quick and easy appetizer to make. And people always ask for the recipe!

Seriously, it’s so easy to make. I lightened up this version from the original recipe by using lower fat cream cheese. I’m not saying it’s fat free, but every little bit helps! We love it spread on crackers or celery sticks. Okay, I like it on celery sticks and the boys like it on crackers. That is they like it on crackers after they find out I’m hiding it in a cottage cheese container!

Eventually I determine that I’ve had my share of the coveted pimento cheese dip and let my secret out! So whether you are planning on sharing or keeping the whole thing to yourself, you need to make this soon. Seriously, it’s perfect for the Super Bowl! Just save a little back for yourself because it will go fast! Just a little friendly advice:)

    I love pimento cheese but this would be too expensive to make for me. The little jars of cheese are about $3.50 where I live plus all the other, do you have one using shredded cheddar?

      Hi Pete! I don’t have a recipe using shredded cheddar. You could always look on Pinterest. This recipe make A LOT so even though the jars are a bit spendy I feel like it goes a long ways!

    I will be making this. It looks like a recipe I’d like without mayo in it. Say, does your recipe make around 3 cups? I’m thinking of halving it since there’s only two of us. Thank you! Pam

      Hi Pam! This recipe does make a big batch. I usually half the recipe too!

    I was really excited to find this recipe, thinking is was a copycat recipe for the Kraft brand pimento spread. I live in Canada and we cannot get either the Kraft Old English spread or the Pimento spread. Thanks anyway…

      Hi Diana! This is definitely not a copycat recipe for Kraft pimento spread. It is really delicious though! You can buy Kraft Pimento Cheese from Amazon! {Affiliate Link}

        I can’t buy it from Amazon (because it can’t be shipped to Canada) and even if I could, it is $24.95 per jar which is about $34 CDN. Nope. Hopefully, one day, Kraft will figure out that Canadians like this product too….
