I asked Branson to put his laundry away. Being such an obedient child he went straight to the laundry room and got all of his clean, folded clothes. He took them down stairs.
Then I said what I always say after asking the boys to put their laundry away. I said, “Don’t put this laundry anywhere except where it goes. That means no putting it behind your door, under your bed or anywhere else that it doesn’t go. And please don’t turn the pile of clothes upside down or backwards in your drawer.”
Help me justify my being overly particular about laundry. You know, it’s a lot of work to sort, wash, fold and iron all of those clothes only to have them put away upside down. And I really do care about what my boys look like. Please tell me that you feel the same way as I do. And that you tell your children the same thing. That would make feel better, knowing that I’m not the only mom nagging our kids about being overly particular about laundry. There I feel like a better mom already.
Ok, back to my story. Branson took my lecture then took all of his laundry to his room. He was down there putting his clothes away for a long time. So I am guessing that he did a perfect job of putting his laundry away. However, I was really starting to wonder where he was. Eventually he came upstairs and announced that he found a bikini in his laundry. “What? We don’t own any bikini’s in this house.” (Everyone who may see me swimming can thank me later.)
Well, I’m not too sure about his mankini. But he sure thought it was funny.
And he thought it was really great that his mankini had a built in trap door.
My other men were jealous of his manikini. “How come you didn’t by me one of those?”, said the Littlest One. I got done explaining that I have been a very fair Mankini buyer. I NEVER bought a mankini!! Branson honestly asked me, “Really, what is this thing?” I explained to him that it was my sports bra. He just couldn’t figure out how to make that mankini into a sports bra. He wanted me to try it on so he could see how it works. I have my limits, so I said, “NO WAY”. Unfortunately, I must admit that his little rear looks better in the mankini than the sports bra looks on me. He’s hard to beat!!
Have a great day. See if you can repurpose something today!! Let me know what you find!!
