Festive drinks that are a little zippy, a little creamy and a lot yummy! Lime Floats are one of my favorites for hot summer day and a must have for St. Patrick’s Day!

Lime Floats! - Little Dairy on the Prairie

Can I just tell you a little bit about what happens when my children babysit themselves. First of all, they drink chocolate milk. Lots of chocolate milk. They spill chocolate milk all over the floor, the wall, down the front of the counter tops, on their homework and pretty much anywhere else you can think of. It’s my oldest. He’s a mess. So guess what happened at our house. We made a new babysitting rule: NO CHOCOLATE MILK! I know I shouldn’t admit that because I own a dairy and all. I’m okay with them drinking milk. It’s something about mixing the chocolate in and using spoons in their milk that gets them in trouble. My children must have looked in the fridge to find another indulgence while I was gone. They my oldest, found the can of aerosol whipped cream. He ate opened his mouth and ate the entire can. Straight from the can. Now I’m going to have to ban them him from aerosol whipped cream too!
Lime Floats! A fun lime drink for St. Patrick's Day!

Anyway, on to these amazing Lime Floats. I love these things.  I love the tangy of the lemon, the fizzy of the soda and the creamy of the sherbet. It all works together like magic to create a most tangy, fizzy and creamy float!

Lime Floats!!!

Thank goodness they are easy to whip together because when we are hot on the lazy days of summer it’s all about easy and quick!

How yummy does that aerosol whipped cream look on the top of this Lime Float? Good thing I made that new rule, huh? This drink just wouldn’t be as cute without it!

Lime Floats! A zippy drink the whole family loves! - Little Dairy on the Prairie

Of course I couldn’t wait until summer to share this with you because you should totally make it for St. Patrick’s Day too! It is the perfect drink to add to my all green St. Patties Day menu! The kids go crazy for it and if I am lucky I can pass it off as a drink and dessert!
