When school is over I am never sure who is more excited. Me, the kids or their teachers? This year I think Payson might be the most excited. He is so is happy to have a playing buddy.
I went outside the other day to see what they were up to. That is what a responsible mom does right? I found them digging in the mud. Actually it is kind of green mud. Compliments of the Little Dairy.
Why would these boys be digging in the mud? Maybe because that is what little boys do with mud puddles. They informed me that they were digging for gold. Inside of me I really wish they could be successful and we could be the “Little Gold Mine on the Prairie”.
See mom!! I found some gold nuggets. Yeah those are “nuggets” all right. Cow manure nuggets, that’s what!!
“Maybe we should go get a bag to store the gold nuggets”, said Branson. “Ok, I will go get some out of the kitchen”, said Payson. “I will go get the mop”, said mom.
Oh well they were working so hard and we just might get rich off of it someday. Besides digging for gold is way better than watching TV anyway. It’s worth the mopping.
This little white hair was so proud that they collected a whole gallon of nuggets.
Please tell me that LG Appliances should pay me to advertise for them. Because all of these clothes will go in the wash machine. And actually, most of my laundry looks like this or worse. Usually the mud is much greener. I really do think I should get paid to say that they actually come clean. And my wash machine is still clean enough to wash my undies. Some wash machine.
By the way, I have been wondering how long I would have to tell this baby boy to put his shoes on the right feet. You would think that he would get it right 50% of the time. Nope. He gets them on the wrong feet EVERYTIME. But I didn’t think I would have to tell him to get a left and a right from the same pair of boots. Crazy kid!!
Really, who wouldn’t love summer time. I can’t resist this little gold digger with his mismatched boots and his untucked pockets. I love these little gold diggers, I just wish they would have found some real gold nuggets.
