Not only is this French Bread Breakfast Pizza a super easy breakfast recipe that’s a family favorite around here, but you have an opportunity to support National FFA programs when you purchase Farmland ingredients from Hy-Vee to make it! The FFA program is one of my favorite programs for kids to be involved in!

French Bread Breakfast Pizza -Kid favorite breakfast

If you’ve read any of my other breakfast recipe posts (Breakfast Calzones, Breakfast Quesadillas, Breakfast Sliders) you know my family loves breakfast, you also know I don’t like to be bothered with being stuck in the kitchen all morning whipping it up! I mean really who has time for that?

French Bread Breakfast Pizza is another one of breakfast recipes you can throw together in just a few minutes which is exactly the kind of breakfast for me! It’s great for handing to kids on their way out the door, or for delivering to the field when they are in the tractors, or even for dinner!

French Bread Breakfast Pizza -With Farmland Bacon

Let me show you really quick how easy it is to make French Bread Breakfast Pizza and then I want to talk about an awesome opportunity you have to support National FFA programs!

French Bread Breakfast Pizza - Step By Step

  1. Slice French bread in half lengthwise.  Butter insides of bread. Bake i.n the oven for 3-5 minutes
  2. Add shredded cheese.
  3. Add scrambled eggs (I added Farmland sausage to mine, but you can add any of their other tender flavorful products made with quality ingredients- bacon, specialty cut ham, lunchmeat, and more!)
  4. Sprinkle diced bacon on top of eggs (I used Farmlands Hickory Smoked Ready-To-Eat-Bacon)
  5. Pop pizza in the oven for 10-15 minutes.
  6. Sprinkle sliced scallions over the top.
  7. Cut into slices and serve with sour cream and salsa if desired.

Now that was fast and easy wasn’t it! If we happen to have leftovers my kids like to pack it in their lunches for school because they have access to a microwave which is a game changer!

french bread breakfast pizza - ffa experience

Now I can’t wait to share a little bit with you about Farmland, since 1959, Farmland has been working alongside American farm families to offer the best quality products. More than 50 years later Farmland’s unsurpassed passion and pride are stronger than ever as they serve retail and foodservice customers across America!

When I heard that Farmland is a proud partner of the National FFA Organization (formerly known as Future Farmers of America) I was so excited! Here’s how they are supporting the National FFA programs!

  • With every Farmland item purchased now through September 30, 2017 Farmland will donate $.10 to FFA, up to $75,000!
  • In addition to donations, Farmland will provide grants to select Midwestern FFA chapters later this year, providing financial support to high school students working on animal care projects.

We all know that kid’s interests vary from child to child. Some kids enjoy spending time playing sports, some love music, some are involved in drama clubs, some enjoy BPA, and some find other clubs to join.

French Bread Breakfast Pizza -FFA

Other kids are farm kids to the core and would eat, drink, and sleep farming if we would let them! My kids happen to fall into this category! Well, maybe my whole family fits here! My husband was very involved in his local FFA chapter when he was in high school. He even earned his American Farmer award from the National FFA program.

Now that my oldest, Carson, is a junior in high school he is following in the same footsteps. His favorite classes are his FFA classes. He loves learning about plants, animals, mechanics, welding, electrical work, and is signed up for an Ag Economics class this year. He’s participated in several FFA competitions and enjoyed that as well.

These FFA classes provide him, and other students, an opportunity to learn valuable skills in a hands-on way. They are able to explore a variety of trades they might be interested in pursuing as a career.  Carson is already applying the knowledge he’s learning as he’s rebuilding a motor in his free time, he welded animal pens on our farm this summer, and he’s planning to rewire a trailer.

FFA is a great organization for kids who are interested in becoming future farmers. That’s why I was so excited when I heard about Farmland’s program to support the National FFA programs!

Haha! It’s always fun when people ask how much time I spent making a meal and I can tell them 10 minutes! Cooking doesn’t have to be as hard as it seems does it? This one really does come together in a few minutes and is always a hit!

Breakfast can be a little tricky because mornings are so busy. Thank goodness this only takes a few minutes to throw together and kids always gobble it right up!
