Trim any fat or gristle from the meat.
Cut the meat in large cubes, I got a little carried away with my chopping. The pieces don’t need to be this small.
Throw a few handfuls in your food processor and give it a pulse. If you overload your food processor you will get finely chopped meat at the bottom and rough chopped meat at the top. Well, maybe if your food processor is higher quality it won’t do that, but mine does. Obviously the longer you pulse the finer the chop will be. You decide how fine or rough of chopped meat floats your boat!
Stick it in freezer bags, throw it in the freezer, and that’s it! It will be there when you need it! Just grab a bag out of the freezer and stick it in the fridge overnight, or for a few hours and then it will be thawed and ready to go.
I already know I’m going to be asked what I do with my leftover ham. Even though I’m a food blogger I rarely follow a recipe, especially for quick “throw it together meals”. So here are some ideas, not recipes, for you!
