A classic recipe in my recipe box. These amazingly gooey bars are quick to make using simple ingredients! Oh my goodness, they are so gooey and addicting. I'm loving the white chocolate chips and walnuts with red velvet cake! Perfect for Valentines Day!

Ingredients
  • 1 box Red Velvet cake mix
  • 1 egg
  • ½ c. butter, softened
  • 4 oz. sweetened condensed milk
  • 1 c. white chocolate chips
  • ½ c. chopped almonds
Instructions
  1. Preheat oven to 350 degrees.
  2. Grease a 9 x 9" pan.
  3. Mix cake mix, egg and butter together.
  4. Divide dough in thirds. Press ⅔ of the dough in the bottom of the pan.
  5. Bake for 6 minutes
  6. Drizzle sweetened condensed milk on top of baked crust. Sprinkle chocolate chips and walnuts over sweetened condensed milk.
  7. Drop remaining ⅓ cake dough over the sweetened condensed milk layer. The dough is a little sticky and hard to place. I use my fingers to try and smooth it out as best as I can. It's okay if it doesn't completely cover the sweetened condensed milk layer. It will fill in as it bakes.
  8. Bake for an additional 20-23 minutes.
